George Philip Imuro, MD, President and CEO
George Philip Imuro, MD is a Board Certified Internist by the American Board of Internal Medicine. He is a member of the American College of Physicians. A dedicated hospitalist working for Avera Medical Group, Chair of ICU Committee. Additionally, he holds the Hospitalist Director position at Mimbres Memorial Hospital where he also works as a hospitalist
Dr. Imuro is a former employee of the Department of Defense (DoD) with the US Army in a capacity as Academic Hospitalist in Internal Medicine, apposition of nearly 10 years. He was an appointed Professor for Texas Tech University. Dr. Imuro completed his medical school at Universidad De Montemorelos, NL Mexico. He is a graduate of Texas Tech University Residency Program in Internal Medicine.
Awards: Dr. Imuro earned “The Charles W Starks Academic Excellences award” for the highest GPA and garnered 1st place in his graduating class.
Community work: Dr. Imuro is currently the Senior Medical Officer of the South Sudanese Diaspora COVID-19 Task Force, dedicated to a weekly education and interaction with the diaspora members. Gatluak Ter Thach (PhD), Chief Operation officer
Adjunct Professor of Leadership and Nonprofit Management at Tennessee State University and President/CEO of Nashville International Center for Empowerment (NICE). Dr. Thach is a lead strategic consultant for Cush Integrated and Healthcare Associates, LLC. Dr. Gatluak Thach also lead Institute for Effective Leadership and Strategic Management.
Dr. Thach is a refugee and immigrant rights activist who serves on board of directors for several organizations, include Sudanese Human Rights Organization, Advisory Council of Tennessee Department of Children’s Services, Mayor’s New American Council, Tennessee for All of Us, Nashville Area Habitat for Humanity, Sudanese Presbyterian Church, Alliance for South Sudanese in Diaspora, South Sudan Relief Rehabilitation Agency – USA, and Volar Collegiate Academy, among others. Dr. Thach authored My New American Dream and The Life of the Leader. His upcoming books include: “The Successful Integration and Why My People Continue to Suffer in South Sudan.” Dr. Thach is an expert in community and organizational development, program and budget planning and management, strategic planning, collaboration and partnership building, resource development (grant writing), executive coaching for new executive grassroots’ leaders, and strategic advocacy, and much more.
Dr. Thach earned a Bachelor of Science degree in computer science with minor in mathematics from Tennessee State University in Nashville, TN and master’s degree in public service and management from Cumberland University in Lebanon, TN, where he graduated with Pi Gamma Mu International Honor Society in social science, and a Doctorate in Organizational Leadership with emphasis on Strategic Planning and Management from Argosy University in Nashville, TN. Dr. Thach received numerous awards, including White House Champion of Change Award from President Obama, CEO of the Year Award, Distinguished Service Award, Human Right Rising Advocate Award, Power of Inclusion Award, Community Empowering Award, New Immigrant Leadership Award, Peace Ambassadors USA Award, among others.
Chap Phan Deit, MA, Chief Finance Officer
Chap is Labor Economist for the State of Iowa where he provides Short-Term and Long-Term industry projections for the state and the 15 regions. Chap is experienced business leader with strong analytical background in business management, finance, and logistics. Chap worked as Business Analytics at headquarters of Walmart stores Inc. where he provides strategic business analytics, planning, and leverage data to drive actionable business strategy.
Chap received Dual bachelor’s degrees in economics and Management from Hope College and master’s degree in Economics from Western Michigan University. Chap writes on business strategy, the economy and other interests
